Swindon's unique cat only clinic

Cat Clinic

What does it mean to be a Gold Cat Friendly Clinic

We’re proud to be a gold accredited clinic by the ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine)

We understand the needs of cats

Cats have unique needs so our aim has been to create a calmer and more relaxed environment for them to receive treatment

They are handled with gentleness & respect

We approach and handle cats gently ensuring cat friendly principles are adhered to throughout their care

Specific feline training

We follow the ISFM Feline Friendly Handling and Nursing Care guidelines and have made the pledge to be ‘scruff free’

Specific facilities, equipment and areas for felines

Our clinics have to prove rigorous adherence to a set of criteria including cat waiting areas, feline-friendly hospitalisation cages, and veterinary equipment specifically for treating cats.

Dedicated cat advocates

Our 'cat advocates” ensure that all of our Cat Friendly Clinic standards are upheld and that all staff are properly trained in cat handling

The gold accreditation goes one step forward in ensuring that all aspects of your pet’s stay have been thought about, not just the front of house that clients can see. It also means our appointed cat advocates ensure gold standards are maintained. Click here to find out more about the cat-friendly clinic awarded and the standards required.

We recognise that taking a cat to the vet is often a stressful experience for both cats and their owners. Cats have unique needs so our aim has been to create a calmer and more relaxed environment for cats to receive treatment and to ensure cats are handled with appropriate gentleness and respect at all times, ensuring cat-friendly principles are adhered to throughout their care.

We have specific equipment with separate reception, consulting rooms, dental prep, operating theatre and a luxury cattery. Our consulting rooms are now equipped with comfy sofas, portable consulting tables, and areas for cats to explore including a floor-to-ceiling cat tree which seems to be a particular favourite for our visitors so far!
