Diagnostics
Diagnostics help determine the health of a pet. Diagnostic equipment is valuable in finding the cause of your pet’s illness without sometimes having to resort to surgery or more invasive options.
X-ray & Ultrasound
We provide high-quality ultrasound scans and digital X-rays for pets. These advanced diagnostic tools help identify the cause of illness quickly. In many cases, they reduce the need for surgery or invasive procedures.
Our veterinary imaging services can detect a wide range of conditions. These include pregnancy, womb infections (pyometra), and urinary tract issues like stones or blockages. We can also identify abdominal growths, pancreatitis, and hormonal conditions such as Cushing’s disease.
Ultrasound is essential for diagnosing heart conditions in pets. Heart scans usually do not require anaesthesia. This makes the process safer and less stressful. We keep your pet calm and comfortable throughout this gentle, non-invasive procedure.
Bronchoscopy & Endoscopy
Both these procedures are performed with your pet under full general anaesthetic. We use a bronchoscope to look at the trachea, bronchi and lower airways in cases of chronic coughing or possible foreign bodies that your pet may have breathed in. Endoscopy offers the same and involves a small tube with a light on the end to visualise narrow areas we need to investigate, such as in the mouth, stomach, small intestines or up the colon. These are valuable tools to help us make a quick and effective diagnosis of your ill pet with minimal surgical involvement
