Diagnostics
Diagnostic equipment helps to determine the health of a pet. These tools are valuable in finding the cause of your pet’s illness without sometimes having to resort to surgery or more invasive options.

X-ray & Ultrasound
We are able to perform ultrasound and take x-rays to a very high level. These diagnostic tools are valuable in finding the cause of your pet’s illness without having to resort to surgery or more invasive options.
We can commonly scan for pregnancies, womb infections (pyometra), urinary tract problems such as stones or blockages, possible growths in the abdomen or infections such as a pancreatitis or even hormone conditions such as Cushings disease.
The ultrasound is also a very important diagnostic tool to evaluate any abnormal heart conditions in your pet. Anaesthesia is normally not required for heart scans and we keep your pet as calm and as quiet as possible with this gentle and non-invasive procedure.
Bronchoscopy & Endoscopy
Both these procedures are performed with your pet under full general anaesthetic. We use a bronchoscope to look at the trachea, bronchi and lower airways in cases of chronic coughing or possible foreign bodies that your pet may have breathed in. Endoscopy offers the same and involves a small tube with a light on the end to visualise narrow areas we need to investigate such as in the mouth, stomach, small intestines or up the colon. These are valuable tools to help us make a quick and effective diagnosis in your ill pet with minimum surgical involvement
