Puppy Parties

The first few months of a puppies life is the window for socialisation. This is the key to a confident and well adapted dog. Positive interaction in a safe way will help them to create positive associations and set them up for life! In addition, during these sessions facilitated by our nursing team, you will receive plenty of helpful advice on essential health care and introducing your puppy to our clinic early will help them to enjoy their future visits, not fear them.

Puppy Socialisation

Why should I socialise my puppy at a puppy party?

Socialisation Period

A puppy’s ‘socialisation period’ is from the age of 4 to about 14 weeks. This is the period when a puppy is most receptive to new experiences, and what he experiences in this time will shape his attitudes and character for the rest of his life.

Vaccination Protection

Your puppy will not be fully protected by his vaccinations until one week after his second injection – this will be 13 weeks at the earliest, near the end of his socialisation

Safe Space

This means that most of your puppy’s socialising must be done whilst he is not fully immunised. This can be done safely by avoiding contact with strange dogs, or places they may have soiled e.g. streets and parks. A good solution would be to carry your puppy in these

Advice

Our qualified and experienced nursing team are not just present to facilitate the party. They also provide plenty of helpful advice and tips. They are on hand to answer any questions you may have and to cover the basics of pet health care.

Fear free

Our clinics practice 'fear free' principles but they also ensure that new pets arriving have a positive experience. With plenty of fuss, treats and praise, coming to see us will always be a positive experience and not one to be feared.

Like minded

Our parties are a great opportunity to meet local and like-minded pet owners. Puppies arrive in all shapes, sizes and breeds so there is always plenty of information sharing and support available.
